Since Amazon’s announcement of an upcoming free Kindle app for Android platform, Android users have been eagerly waiting for the launch of this free Kindle App. And finally their wait is over. On June 28, 2010, Amazon released a free Kindle App for Android mobile platform users. This free Kindle App lets you browse, buy and read books right from your Android phone. And what’s more. Amazon’s Android Kindle App also comes with Amazon’s Whispersync technology, which lets you save and sync bookmarks across multiple platforms, viz. Kindle, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, BlackBerry, Mac and Windows systems. Amazon is already offering Kindle Apps for mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad, and Blackberry & Mac and Windows operating systems.

While a few experts claim Amazon’s release of Kindle Apps for various platforms as its strategy to extend Kindle as an e-book reading platform, a few others are of an opinion that it will kill the sale of Amazon’s Kindle e-book reader.
You can download for free Amazon Kindle App for Android from the Android Market.
